Button 4 on my left stick is permanently depressed and causing the stick not to respond. Button seems physically fine. Clicks in and pops out like normal.

Old firmware with current software might create issues; I suggest to flash to latest firmware, like here.

I'll try but it's been working perfectly fine since almost last summer. Just suddenly happened today.

Updated everything and still button shows up as pressed.

You need to disassemble the grip and make sure that not only the hat itself snaps off, but also the button itself. Perhaps the button remains pressed, there was such a case. Well, the profile will not be superfluous here, in the archive.
