Possible to use a button as a switch and a button at the same time?
I have a NXT PRO and I'd like to have the rapid fire trigger pull to act as a switch for a temporary brake axis receiving input from the Y axis. I've managed to do this, but I would absolutely need it to work as a button press at the same time. Is this possible to achieve? Logical buttons can't be used as a switches, so the route of programming two logical buttons is closed. It would also be really nice to be able to use a response curve with the temporary axis, but I guess this cannot be done as editing the curve has no effect whatsoever?

You can use the booleans (not the boolean button type) to set a NOT that detects the state of the physical button and triggers a different button. This usually works even for physical buttons that have been set to button types that do not have "track as a button" options on their physical layer settings (it does not work for buttons set to "No Function").
So if you've got your switch working for your first function, you can to create the boolean NOT to link it to a second button (physical or logical) and then set that button up for whatever second function you want to bind in game.
