VKB-SIM

I have a new 2xTHQ/SEM-V combo. I am using it without a Gladiator stick, it came with a USB-HID card installed in one of the THQ units. When I attempt to configure it using VKBDevCfg-C (v0.92.17) the device name changes from VKB NXT SEM THQx2 XT v2-088 to VKB NXT XT v2.088, the LED on the THQ unit containing the HID flashes purple? (maybe a red and blue LED simultaneously?) and it stops responding. For example:

1. Plug device in and it is identified as a VKB NXT XT v2.08. LED is flashing

2. Select device and use the Default function on the Tools tab. Device is now recognized as a VKB NXT SEM THQx2 XT v2-08. LED is flashing

3. Calibrate device, when End Calibr is selected, device resets to a VKB NXT SEM THQx2 XT v2-088. LED is steady blue. The device no longer responds. I have to use the Default function again to get it working and the LED begins flashing again.

I have the same issue when trying to set a profile to change a button's behavior. It seems like the write back to the device fails. I have tried this several times with the same result. I have swapped USB ports, connected directly to PC, connected via powered and unpowered USB hubs, disabled anti-virus, disconnected my GF/MCGU and other devices, and killed anything running in the background. Same behavior every time. I have flashed using the _GNX_USB_Controller_v2.09.0.vkb firmware although I note that VKBDevCfg shows v2.088. The firmware flash seems to be completing successfully. I must be missing something... any ideas?

And if, after resetting to default, click the Find & AutoConfig button in the Global-External tab?

Dean, What version is your NXT combo now showing in VKBDevCfg? Has it updated to v2.090 or is it still on 2.088?

What color(s) is you USB HID LED now showing? Is the LED steady or flashing one or more color(s)?

I just received an NXT combo - SEM-V 3 x THQs. Just want to confirm latest USB HIV firmware version displayed by VKBDevCfg and USB LED behavior(s) before binding my device in MSFS 2020.

The firmware for the NXT modules shows 088 instead of 090 and that is fine.
If the LED on the module upgraded with the GNX HID controller shows anything else other than a steady blue light then there's an issue with the unit. Set up properly the unit in native software before binding in game; you could follow the guide from timestamp.

Thanks for speedy response Fallout. I have the 088 firmware installed. All 9 axes and all buttons are working fine including 4 detent flaps and 3 detent landing gears. LED on my module upgraded with the GNX HID controller does not show a steady blue light. It shows a blue light plus a quick instantaneous red flash every second. Do you know what that means? Is there a reference somewhere that explains the the LED color codes for the GNX HID to help troubleshoot?
