Broken 3 pin Jst connector

Postby Pokerbrokr » Thu Feb 03, 2022 1:17

I broke one of the wires on the 3 pin Jst for my NXT. Does anybody know where I can find a replacement that will work?

Is there anybody out there that knows where I can purchase a replacement 3 pin connector that attaches from the grip to the base?

You could either fix the cable yourself if you're handy (replacing the damaged wire) or fill up a service ticket to get a new one sent to you. You might be waiting a bit longer than usual for the cable, as the head office is trying to catch up with all orders arrived during the local holiday.

I tried to fix it and was unsucessful. When I do get a replacement wire, how do I install it inside the grip. It looks like you would have to remove one of the heads of the connector and feed it through then clamp it back on? I am not very handy with this stuff at all. I've been without a working joystick for about a month now and it's really frustrating.

You'll take the grip apart, replace the damaged cable with the new one, put the grip back together, mount the grip on the base. Not hard at all. You'll need a long and small Philips screwdriver for this.
If you'll face difficulties during this operation please report back, we'll guide you step by step.

When I tried feeding the wire back through inside the grip it seemed like that would be impossible to fit that in with the connector head already attached. I'm assuming what I would have to do is remove the connector head then reattach it. How do you feed the connector head through that small opening on the inside of the grip.
