Documentation for Boolean functions

Postby Widget » Sun Jan 02, 2022 9:03

I can't find explanations in the v2.15 user guide for the following Boolean functions:
RST trigger, JK trigger, D trigger, M counter.

Does anyone know where I can find the relevant documentation?

Seconding this request. I've figured out the basics, but I'd love more doco on the booleans as well, since they're pretty powerful and useful.

I've done some digging, and I'm going to *guess* that these map through to boolean logic gates of the same name for electronics

https://www.norwegiancreations.com/2017 ... es-part-2/
and here
https://www.electronics-tutorials.ws/se ... seq_4.html

You can see references and descriptions of D flip flops, and JK flip flops (and a flip-flop sounds the same as a 'trigger')
I've not yet tried to test this and figure out if this is true, but maybe it will help you.

Oh, well done!

I won't time to experiment with your info as I'm moving house in a few days time. But I'll look into it after things settle down.
