This just happened to me this morning, twice.
While playing Star Citizen I noticed the PoV switch stopped working (use it for directional thrusters). I exited the game and launched the Device Config and confirmed other functions of the controller worked, but the PoV switch did not. A PC reboot brought the functionality back, yet after playing the game for another 20 minutes or so, it stopped working again... both in the game and from the test window in the config app. Once again a reboot restored the functionality.
This seems like a software glitch to me as, generally speaking, a hardware issue would be either intermittent or simply cease to function and not be restored by a reboot.
Firmware version is v2.088

You do know it has 2 modes, POV and axes, and you could swap between them by pressing the center button, right?

I did not know that, no. Not much documentation came with the sticks and what I could find online has been rather sparse overall. Yet these forums have been great, and I'm assuming that I must have pressed down on it and switched it to the other mode.
I was concerned as I have been using these for weeks now and had not run into that before, yet I see there is an indicator light so I can use that confirm which mode I'm in.
Thanks again!

That's why I mentioned about it; don't worry, it happens. But just to let you know that you could program each mode (POV and axes) to different functions - POV mode would be digital and axes mode would be analog.
