Axes Fixation bound to HAT central HAT - not working

I'm trying to use the TEMPO-b on my top hat, short press should be button, long press should activate the axis dampener (Fix Axes).
I've tried both D.Rate and FA3, none seem to be doing their job.
I am new to the software, will probably ask stupid questions, but please bear my frustration in mind here.
