MGG Ultimate Axis to Button - Axes Switched in Device Config

Hello
I'd like to set the lower left microstick as a (HAT, buttons, whatever). Trying to do this via Axes2Buttons
The microstick seems to be bound to axis 6(rot-z in the x) and 7(slider in the y) by default.
Have bound the axis 6 to buttons 41 and 42, as did I axis 7 to 43 and 44.
When I make movements in the x axis, nothing happens (although it should?)
When I make vertical (y-axis) movements, the buttons 41 and 42 are triggered, although they are bound to the axis 6 (x).
