Hi I am having a issue with my NXT
It started last week with it flashing red and blue.
I downloaded the config software set to default, updated via the bootloader.

Its remaining issue is the Y axis will slowly rotate my spaceship (star Citizen) I have had the joystick less than 12 months.
If I open up the config software and click on the calibrate, this appears to instantly fix the issue.
But that fix lasts for two to three hours and I have to click calibrate again.

If you have issues only with the Y axis, it might worth looking at the magnet on that sensor, as it might get loose. Check this walkthrough to see how to get there and if that's the issue you need to glue it back in place.
