MGC ULTIMATE mini switch / HAT doesn't work together

Hello everybody,

I'm long time owner of gladiator with MGC pro system, also, I recently bought a GF 3 with ULTIMATE stick (twist version).

Devcfg-C version : v0.92.11
Bootloader version : v1.95
Firmware version : _blackbox_GF_MGC_Ultimate_Twist_v2_07_1


My problem :
When I swap one mini stick with one HAT, mini stick isn't recognize by system ( no axes, but center button work in "profile_button_physical layer", gate cont or master mode position).
I used all mini stick and HAT at different place (gate cont and master mode), used all existing procedure (from other topic, défaut button, flashing firmware, etc...) with no joy.


Blackbox MK2 blue light and center green light on.


Both mini stick works (two in place, POV function, axes, etc... ) when they are used at the same time.
Both HAT work too as previous configuration.

Does somebody have solution please?

Sorry, but it's not clear what's working and what's not working. There are 2 types of modules: ministicks (the ones that comes installed from factory) and the HAT switches (the spares) - which ones are not working?

Ok, my fault, sorry.

The essential :
When Ultimate is in configuration 1 Ministick + 1 HAT, ministick isn't recognise (flashing firmware, default setting, calibration, set loaded).

Following, screenshot in this configuration

Additional information :
When Ultimate is in factory config two ministicks work fine.

Please follow this guide from the timestamp. It's important to reset to default after swapping modules and calibrate. There's no Set or Load involved in this procedure, maybe this is what's messing up your profile. When it comes to calibration you will have to calibrate only the ministicks (the factory default modules), not the HAT switches.

How about ministick's POV stage? Is that working?

Negative, even with master mode function (red light on stick).

However, center button work, it will be see in profile/button/physical layer (poll check) when I press it.

Alright, let's go step by step:

1. What module is installed on Gate Cont?
If ministick - does POV mode works, does axes mode works? Which cell lights up on Physical Layer chart when pressing the center push?
If HAT switch - do you get the 5 buttons all working in tester?

2. What module is installed on Master Mode?
If ministick - does POV mode works, does axes mode works? Which cell lights up on Physical Layer chart when pressing the center push?
If HAT switch - do you get the 5 buttons all working in tester?

1. What module is installed on Gate Cont?
_ ministick
_ does POV mode works : no

2. What module is installed on Master Mode?
_ HAT switch
_ do you get the 5 buttons all working in tester : yes (#22 center, #29 down, #30 left, #31 up, #32 right)

1. In Global/Common set the #POV to 2;
2. In Profile/Buttons/Physical Layer click on the cell that lights up when you click on the center button of the ministick (you said #33, right?). In the new dialog box set it up as uSSw, then as POV2, then Switched by Tempo. If you want it to start in POV mode check the POV box; if you want axes mode by default, just leave it off. Photo1.
3. In Profile/POVs set the second POV as shown in Photo2. Hit Set to save and test the new settings.

Hi,

No joy, I programmed as requested, 2nd POV is now available, however Tempo light still red, pressing center button didn't do anything, no axes recognize.

I tried to swap ministick and POV with the spare, but no joy too.

I test to swap position, ministick in MASTER MODE and POV in GATE CONT. restore default setting (uSSw tempo in #34 position), and caliber.
_ red light turned on/off after long pressure on center button, but nothing else, no axes, no POV function.

I also tested the factory configuration, 2 ministicks, I set a second POV function as describe in your previous post, all works : 2 POV function, axes works, and both have a working tempo function on center long pressure to change mode (POV/axes).

after this test, I returned in the previous configuration (ministick in MASTER MODE and POV in GATE CONT), POV work, ministick stop to work (axes or POV function).

It look like I can't use a mixed configuration, just ministick + ministick or POV +POV.

There's a fresh new firmware (and matching software) uploaded, please flash, reset to default, calibrate and get through all these tests again. It has to work, seems like all modules are fine and the grip's main board works good too.

Same issue as usual, work in factory config, and ministick cease to work when POV is installed.
