I recently got a SEM Module and I have been having a lot of trouble setting it up. I am going to be as detailed as I can with my issue below.

Set up:
NXT Premium Right Joystick
NXT Standard Left Joystick
SEM Module Desktop, Default Edition

VKB Software Version v0.92.11
I have flashed the firmware to v2.08.0.3

Functionality I am trying to achieve:
I am trying to get the Flaps Throttle on the SEM to act as an axis, I am trying to do this with the 2 stage detent in place as I like the throw resistance the detent offers because I think the throttle is too loose without a detent in place.

I have held the 3 buttons down, pressed A1 to select the flaps throttle and then selected the START button to set it in axis mode.

2 days ago I was able to figure out how to connect the SEM module to the Left side of the Left hand Standard NXT Stick. Yesterday I was able to get the SEM mostly functioning with the and older version of the Firmware. It did not have the function I want and I continuously watched all the new videos and could not figure out how to set up the throttle to the way I want it. Today I upgraded the firmware for all devices. With the new upgraded firmware i "Think" I might have the functionality I am trying to achieve but there are some issues.

The issues as of today:
1. There is a massive delay in the SEM module both in a game (Star Citizen) and in the testing section of the VKB software. None of the buttons are responsive in the software and when I throw the throttles it takes several seconds for it to register.
2. My right hand Premium NXT Stick seems to no longer function when everything is plugged in. There are no module plugged into this stick.
3. B3 light on SEM is randomly on or off at times (not sure if this means anything)
4. The blue light on the Standard Left NXT base flashes as well as the red one next to it (again not sure if this means anything)

Connect the left hand Gladiator with the SEM with the 3 to 4 pins JST cable (3 pins on the GNX, 4 pins on the SEM). Make sure they're flashed with the latest firmware and running on the latest firmware (what you mention sounds good, but check again). Your no detents setup is fine, do it again to make sure it's sticking.
Run VKBDevCfg and click the Default button under Tools tab.
Go to Global/External/External Devices and press the Find&AutoConfig button in the lower left side.
In the same chart click on the #2 SEM title (same level with External Devices tab), set up AxN to 1. Set Axis#1 to Virtual from roll down menu and change the second number just below to 7 (first number remains 1).
Press Set button under Action tab, then go to Test/Axes and calibrate both joystick and the Flaps axis on SEM.

The right hand Gladiator - press Default button and recalibrate.

I have double checked the VKB software and I have re-flashed all devices.
I am still able to hold down B1,B2,B3 on the SEM and it lights up to calibrate it but VKB software no longer recognizes it and as soon as I hit C1 to save the settings it goes dark.

It's fine, just continue from "click the Default button" from my post.

So spamming default did make the SEM show up eventually. auto configure doesnt seem to do much I have all these NXT joker options that were not in your picture. the tab that says SEM only says that because i changed the drop down menu for it. but when I click set after manually changing the settings i get a pop up that says "only for pro"?

Profile/Axes/Logical Axes chart: check the En and Vs boxes for axis number 7 and press Set.
There seem to be some issues with the left hand GNX+SEM, a new firmware is expected.

I guess Ill just wait for the new firmware. thanks for the help though.

Is there a ballpark estimate for when a new firmware will be available?
Currently running into the same issues trying to bind the axes on the SEM module.

The updated combo software/firmware is ready with a way easier procedure to set up the analog axes. A video to illustrate this procedure will come up shortly.
