GFIII F-14 - Buttons stopped working mid-flight

All of my joystick buttons went out during yesterday's flight. The hat switch and paddle switch were working on the ground, but as soon as I started rolling everything died. There's a blinking red light on the black box. The stick axes still work fine and the T-rudder pedals (also plugged into the same black box) work fine. No hardware or software changes were made since the previous flight.

Any idea what's wrong and how to fix it?

ETA:
1 - Gunfighter Mk III F-14 Edition
2 - NJoy32 firmware v2.00.7
3 & 4 - I don't remember which springs and cams, but since the stick part of the stick is working fine that's hopefully not relevant.
5 - VKB device config v0.91.54
If the question is in regards to joystick/pedals axes, please additionally post: axes all work fine, it's just the buttons

Seems like a connection issue. Inspect the 3 contact pads on the top of the base and the extension and the 3 pins on the extension and bottom of the grip. Try to mount them again, pressing on them gently (especially on the grip) when tightening the fastener. If still not works use some alcohol to clean up the contact pads. Install the grip directly on the base and see if it works without the extension.

Two steps forward, one step back. The light is green and the buttons are working, but now the joystick is teleporting side-to-side and the rudder pedals are no longer working.

Reset to default and recalibrate.
