Hi.

Since I'm playing the F/A-18 in DCS most of the time, I don't really need the analog axis of the mini stick.

I already configured the ministick so that you have to long press to switch between the 8-way hat and the axis mode. But since I don't own a throttle I'm missing exactly one hat to control the TDC in my Hornet.

So I was wondering if I could configure the ministick to be a 8-way hat in both modes instead of an axis joystick. Is this possible? In the other mode I use it to zoom in and out and to cage/uncage the hud.

I also want to use the push button of the ministick for TDC-Depress. Is it possible to do that or will it also detect the long button press when I want to switch modes as a normal button press?

Thank you for your help. I have absolutly no idea how I could configure this by myself. I only found a topic where someone wanted the exact opposite (axis in both modes).

You can't program 8 ways in axes mode, but you could program the ministick to swap between two 4 or 8 ways POVs, like here.

Awesome. Just what I wanted. This joystick is really the best thing I've ever bought.
