1 - Black Box GF III, MCG Pro Ultimate 200 mm extension
2 - VKB Device Config v0.92.06 (Njoy32 firmware v2.07.0. VKBsim Gunfighter MCG Ultimate XT v2.071 Mk2
3 - x1#40a and #50a on each cam
4 - Avia-s

I have been trying different spring combinations and clutch settings and have not had an issue until today’s tear down. (Using VKB replacing springs YouTube tutorial)

Currently, I am getting no communication with the MCG ultimate stick (red) but am getting communication with the GF base (green) as per the external devices tab. I have Axis X response but do not have Axis Y response. Buttons and POV do not have a response as per the Axes1 tab. VKB joytester indicates in the log section that it is “connected”.

I have attempted to reseat the stick several times, clean the connector pins and have tried flashing the device again. I am not confident I did this correctly however. Any help is much appreciated

Check that the white wire connectors inside the base are connected to the PCBs. Might have knocked the one that comes from the grip loose while you were changing the springs.

Drano,

Can I buy you a beer? That was the issue. Indeed it was a lose wire inside the base connected to the PCB. I likely didn’t secure it well enough when I did a tear down changing the springs.

I’ve been very impressed with the VKB tech support and community as a relative “newcomer”. I found all the tinkering a little daunting at first having been used to “plug and play” devices. That said, I have come to enjoy the “fine tuning” required. Thanks again.

No problem! I'm glad to help. FYI those little connectors have a tendency to work themselves loose over time. If you start getting odd glitchiness like a pot going bad? There are no pots to go bad on these so it's likely a connector has worked loose as you've been moving the stick. Just reset it like you just did and you're good to go.
