devcfg firmware

Postby steelrfan85 » Sat Oct 23, 2021 20:32

I have the MCG pro with the black box and MKiv rudders. I noticed in my the program says VKBsim Gunfighter modern combat pro v2.025 mk2. Is that correct or should it be the GF? I see there is new firmware Blackbox GF MCG PRO _v2_07_01. I tried bootloader to flash new firmware but it says device disconnected. I try reset and I get write error. I have tried unplugging BB from back of my PC and using different USB port. Also tried unplugging all the stick and cable to rudder pedals out of the black box. I am trying to use for MSFS20 and I think there is some issue going on but I think park might be I have the wrong firmware installed and the write error is not letting me install new firmware in in the Bootloader.

Seems like something is blocking the bootloader; could be a background running software like Aorus, Corsair, Razer, Logitech etc. Get rid of everything running in the background (or restart in safe mode) and try again.

Do I have the right firmware installed or do I want the GF not mk2?

If you have the black Black Box use the 'MKII' firmware file.
If you have the orange Black Box use the unlabeled firmware file.
