Pedals and pov button not working together

Postby steelrfan85 » Sun Oct 17, 2021 23:50

I currently have my pov on my mcg pro as 4 way button. The mkiv pedals when pushed all the way to one side jumps to other side. If I start calibration for pedals I lose the 4 way buttons. What is going on?

More info needed. Are your rudders getting through the same Black Box as the joystick? Is the MCG Pro profile default or has been altered? Is there a twist module on the grip? Also need screenshots with VKBDevCfg to check if the fm is updated.

The pedals and stick go through the same box. There is no twist grip on my stick. The I set my own profile within the devcfg program. That's the only way I can get back to the working buttons when I calibrate the rudder pedals otherwise they don't work. Firmware is up to date on devcfg. Here are pictures within the program. If there is anything else to show please let me know.

You did not show the much needed tab - Profile-Axes, logical and physical. Judging by the fact that the trigger axis is not calibrated, I dare to assume that the other axes too.
And for a complete picture, the Global-External-MCG tab is needed.

If the pedals are connected to the same BB with GF, then before calibration (yours are not calibrated!), It is advisable to check the connection of the pedal sensor with the BB. To do this, click on the green triangle on the right in the Test-Misc-Mars tab. If there is a connection, the green square opposite the axis number will light up. Otherwise, it will be red - you need to check the pedal connection cable.
In order for the Misc tab to appear, you need to add lines to the zconfig.ini file, as in the picture.

zconfig.png

p.s. to take a screenshot of the active window (for example, a configurator), you need to press the Alt + PrintSCN key combination or use the "Scissors" or "Sketch on a fragment" screen. Then save and insert into the message via "attachments"

How do I even get that text box to pop up to test misc enabled?

You could find that file in the same folder where your VKBDevCfg executable is. Its name is zconfig.ini; just open it in notepad and add the lines marked in red above. Make sure you add them under the proper titles.

There is a Green arrow. Now what do I do? I don't have a logitech etc in the background. I did turn everything off that I thought might interfere. So far no luck.

Not sure what happened but all of a sudden it recognized it and did the firmware update. The pedals are no longer bouncing to the other side with full push of the pedal.

Do I need to do a firmware for the rudder pedals itself since it only shows the stick? In MSFS there is no option in the controls for the rudder pedals.

Please refer to my post in the other thread that you've opened on how to flash and calibrate both the grip and the rudders.

And don't open any more threads, just post all your questions here please. I locked all your other threads.

I’ve flashed the stick. Do I need though to do some type of firmware separately for the pedals though or just use the grip I currently have? Shouldn’t there be a separate controller for pedals in MSFS?

Flash the stick, plug the rudders in the same Black Box, press the Default button, calibrate as shown in the video I've posted and include the rudders into this operation (after calibrating all grip's axes press left/right on the rudders too and end calibration afterwards).
Btw, which version of the grip do you have, twist or no twist?

If I select default won’t it erase my buttons I have mapped on analog stick? No twist.
