Hello,
Last week I got a gunfighter MGC Ultimate and it is been real enjoyable to use.
I do seem to be having a small problem, from time to time the led on the grip turns white and I seem to be loosing control. It fixes itself very fast.
The leds on the blackbox stay stable. I tried reseating the grip a few times but that doesn't seem to solve the issue.
A white led seems to indicate a bus error erro, any idea what could be happening?
Thank You
New MGC Ultimate

Re: New MGC Ultimate
Don't worry about it for now, it's a software issue. As long as the lights on the Black Box are fine, the connection grip to base is good, so that's what matters.
Re: New MGC Ultimate
Hello,
The problem kept getting worse and worse and I started lossing connectivity.
So I took of the grip and took a picture of the connection. This does not look normal after 2 weeks of use
Kind Regards

That picture says a lot to me. You should have marks on the three pads where the contact pins meet. Dents like this? That's a bit much. I'd wonder if you've actually damaged the pins pushing the grip down so hard. That would give you connection problems.

Re: New MGC Ultimate
I don't feel like I pushed down the grip that hard
I tried mounting the grip 15° and the problem seems to not happening
Considering the price of this joystick, feels a bit weird that just pushing it down can damage the contacts this much

Re: New MGC Ultimate
It's not about pushing it once, when mounting it. It's about the damage created when the fastener is not tightened properly so you constantly press on the grip when playing. But it's alright, just fill up a service ticket including a link to this thread.

Thank You, I made a ticket #6108 on the Europeaan store.
Is there a way I can avoid this in the future? I think I fastened the grip enough but maybe I did something wrong

Re: New MGC Ultimate
When mounting the grip don't push down hard on it; the MCGU is heavy, so it doesn't even need pressing down. Make sure the ends of the fastener are not sticking out. And from time to time check if the fastener is still tightened.

Re: New MGC Ultimate
What fallout9 said. The pins are spring loaded and will provide adequate contact thru that tension. But those pins are tiny and part of a PCB so at least somewhat fragile by nature. Mine is almost 4 years old. I've had the grip off several times for whatever reason and have added an extension so another pair of contacts. Each has a mark or scratch a couple of mm long where I rotated the grip to where I wanted it before tightening the clamps. Maybe it's the lighting or focus on your pic but it looks like there's an indentation on each pad from each pin. If so that's just too much downward pressure whey assembling it. Just drop it on, rotate to where you want and tighten the clamps. Keeping downward pressure while doing this is fine but no need to put that much pressure as you seem to be.
