So the manvr hat on my grip is faulty. I've confirmed using the button test app. Basically I can press up and the 14 button will flicker, registering on and off most of the time even when I don't move my thumb. The other buttons (15, 16, etc) barely work at all. At first I could get more buttons to work inconsistently but within a few days they have mostly stopped responding. Could this be a firmware issue? I've tried upgrading the firmware following the steps in the official video but I keep getting errors with that.
I guess my question is, how impossible is it to swap out the switch itself? I don't have much soldering experience...

Pull the cap out and do a test without it. Post a screenshot with firmware and software visible.
Have you clicked the Default button after reflashing and just before calibrating?

I have done both of those things. I can post pics later, but is this a known issue with older firmware?

It is advisable to have the software and firmware updated at the same time as too much time difference between them could make them incompatible.
