My GF MCG Pro has just developed an odd fault. I've lost all inputs except the X and Y axes. No other buttons or axes are registering. No pinched or severed wires in the grip or base that I saw. Any ideas?
Thanx, Bo
edit: It is a Mk2 version. Also, I just notice the black box( orange version ) has the stick light blinking red and the SYS light solid blue. Today was the first time I used it in over a month. Was fine for about ten minutes and then it went into a left roll uncommanded. I unplugged the cable between the black box and stick which solved the roll issue, but then I lost all other inputs
.

Check the connection grip to base (and extension if there's any). Press down gently on the grip/extension while tightening the fastener for better contact.

Check the 3 contact pins inside the grip tail, they're supposed to be at the same level. Clean up the contact pads on the top of the base stem with a cloth and alcohol.
If still not working disconnect the white plugs inside the base, check if the wires are secured inside and plug them back firmly.

fallout9,
I’ll do a more thorough tear down later today and more closely inspect those pins, wires; and headers. As a further observation, for the past few months, sometimes while pushing the Y axis forward I would get ghost presses of the middle hat/axis. That leads me to think it must be a wire issue somewhere. I’ll advise what I find later in today. Thank you for your expeditious replies and help.

Fallout9,
The only thing I've found after another tear down is that the black disc that the 3 pins protrude from inside the tail piece has some play in it. If I move the 3 wire that come out the top of the tail piece, the disc with the 3 pins moves.
Bo
edit: I'd say there is 1-3mm movement up and down
edit2:pin disc and wire are totally out of tail piece

The pins' board should be held in place by a rubber bit, but maybe this is not what you're talking about? Could you post some pictures?

Too big. Try uploading on external medium, like Imgur and post link.
Re: GF MCG Pro lost most inputs
I narrowed down this problem to the connection between the stick and base. I'm able to get intermittent good connection but it is not consistent. When moving the x or y axis I'm losing good contact

There's a communication level tester in Test/External Devices. You can click on the highlighted elements in there to show the graph. I'm sure the grip graph will be all red, but how is the base graph?

Just press the 3 pins PCB on its sides until it gets back inside the tail; there's a rubber ring on the cable that should slip through then channel inside the tail.
