Gladiator NXT - GNX Premium Hat Not Working
Hi,
I recently bought a pair of Gladiator NXT premiums, and first of all, these are fantastic! However, I'm having a slight issue with the R stick. The hat appears to be stuck on the "down-left" position, even after calibrating (either using the 3-button method after plugging in or through the VKB Device Config). It does report a push as button 30.
At first I thought it was a firmware issue, since the firmware I downloaded from the site (v2_05_5 XT) seemed to be higher than what was already installed (reported 2.010 previously, IIRC), but the problem persists

Try a calibration with VKBDevCfg instead:
- click the Default button under Tools tab;
- click on the Test tab, then on the Axes tab (you should see some sliders aligned on the active chart);
- click mouse on the Start Calibr. button and move your joystick along all its axes: pitch (up and down), roll (left and right), yaw (twist it left and right), minithrottle up and down; then click on the center button of the ministick and when the red LED on the grip turns on start moving the ministick left right and up down;
- when moving the joystick do it slowly, covering the full range of the axes, a few times back and forth; the sliders on the screen should follow the action;
- when done press the End Calibr. button.

Re: Gladiator NXT - GNX Premium Hat Not Working
Thanks for the quick reply! I attempted the calibration, but I couldn't get any red light to turn on with the thumbstick, either clicking, clicking and holding, or double- or triple-clicking. The rest of the axes appeared to respond normally.
edit to add:
Just to test, when I click on the thumbstick on the left stick, the red light does turn on for that one.

Are you sure it's a Premium model and if it is, did you pressed the Default button?

Yep, looks identical to the other one (Well, mirrored of course )
I pressed "default," waited for the stick to show up again in the app, and ran the calibration again through VKB Device Config. Here's the Profile-Axes and Profile-POV tabs after:

Until the values of the 5th and 6th axes change from 255,255,0 to others in the specified area after calibration, there can be no talk of any adequate operation of the microstick. Try to activate the Partial Calibration checkbox in Setting and select only the 5th and 6th axes of the microstick during calibration.

Tried just the 5th and 6th axes calibration. Still 255, 255

edit: I do see a discrepancy between the L stick and R stick on Global-External devices, depending on which I have clicked.

Very strange. Button 30 can only be pressed when changing the ministick to a push-button hut. Show the photo of the ministick by first deflecting it in any direction.

Did you mean a photo of the physical ministick? If so, here's it centered and deflected upper-right:

Re: Gladiator NXT - GNX Premium Hat Not Working
The question is, where are both GNXs connected to? Interested in the version of the USB port.
Let's try to flash with the latest firmware from here the configurator for it is here 92.05), reset it to default. Leave only the right GNX connected, open the Profile-Axes tab, calibrate the axes of the ministick without switching it with a long press on the center. Show screenshot Profile-Axes.

Re: Gladiator NXT - GNX Premium Hat Not Working
You might be onto something with the connection/USB port. This is a pretty old USB hub by now:
Which is plugged into a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port on my motherboard (Asus Pro WS X570-ACE)
I unplugged the left stick and flashed the right stick, then clicked default. The base is currently flashing red. I tried long-clicking on the thumbstick and moving it, but I didn't see any change in Profile-Axes. It remains blinking on the base.

Before disassembling the grip, change the MPL multiplier from 8 to 9, write it to the controller (press Set) and try to calibrate with these parameters, show the screenshot.
Leds on the base will blink until all axes are calibrated.
