New Gladiator VKB Y axis recalibration

Postby ohbaren » Mon Jul 26, 2021 3:52

Hello,

I am having an issue - every time on PC boot and every 1-2 hours I must recalibrate one of my NXT sticks (the other is okay).

The Y-axis drifts over time, and looks like this after an hour.

Is there a fix? Is there something wrong with this particular stick? I bought 2 - the other is totally fine, no problems.

Thanks for help.

Unfortunately it seems like the magnet on that axis came loose. Here's a walkthrough of the fix; just needs a blob of glue inside the socket.
Try not to touch or clean the grease off the gimbal when disassembling it.

That seemed to solve the issue. The magnet was very loose and nearly fell out on its own.
