Gladiator NXT F1 (button 27) causes Windows to drop the device

Just had chance to try my new controller. After 10 minutes in Squadrons, trying to understand the button layout (and what slider1 / slider2 is??) - the device went dead.
Found the instructions and flashed latest (v2_02_05), hit "Default" then calibrated. Went to button tester, and as soon as I hit F1, blue and red lights on base started alternating flashing sequences. From VKB Device Config/Global/LEDs it looks like it could be "BUS ERROR" but I don't know what that means. Windows prompts the device is unknown, and it is no longer detected in VKB Device Config. Unplugging/restarting computer does not consistently "fix". sometimes it's unplugging and F3 / F2 that allows Windows/VKB Device Config to see the device again.

Disconnect the joystick, hold F1 and F2 pressed and reconnect it. Keep holding F1 and F2 pressed until the red LED on the base starts flashing. Open VKBDevCfg, navigate to Test/Axes1, then Tools and press the Start calibr button. Move your joystick along all axes: pitch, roll, twist, minithrottle. If you have the Premium version press the A1 ministick and when the red LED on the grip comes red move the ministick all ways. When done press End Calibr.
If would help that, while doing all these procedures, no other software like Aorus, Logitech, Corsair, Razer etc would run in the background.

Had to try it a couple of times but it seems the issue has stopped!

Thanks
