Bootloading issues

I finally have my game chair set up, but I'm having difficulties doing the boot loading thing.
MKIII MCG Pro with twist, MkIV T-rudders.
First issue was not seeing the rudders at all, which I found had something to do with a limit of number of axis available and having the rudders plugged in to the MCG Black Box? Meaning I needed to flash the grip with the non-twist file. Easy enough.
Next, I saw that the boot device was defaulting to that "NJoy32" thing. Also easy enough. Select that from the device menu, hit restart, let the MCG fire back up (I see the green light on the base come on) then proceed with the flash procedure.
Well, when I click on bootloader, the green light goes off and the NJoy32 thing appears in the Z-Bootloader window. Error code is 41762688
What am I doing wrong here?

Do you have Zbootloader in the same folder with VKBDevCfg? If yes, then post screenshots with errors.

I do have them in the same folder, but I've decided to just wire the joystick and rudder to their own respective black boxes. Both are showing now in the Config thingy. Just for giggles, I did try to flash the rudders.....same thing happened. In the Z-Bootloader, it's showing that NJoy32 thing instead of the device. Different error number though. I'll try to get a pic up.
Both devices are showing in DCS, though I'll be damned if I can figure out how to assign the rudder function to the pedals. LOL

The rudders won't work on a MCG Pro/U with twist module by default, simply because it would exceed Windows' 8 axes limitation per device. If you want to use them in the same black box with the MCG Pro/U you could either flash the bb with the 'no twist' firmware and lock the twist, or (a bit more complicated) reassign one of ministicks' axes to the rudders. In the first case, after flashing the 'no twist' firmware and plugging the rudders in the same bb you'll have to calibrate the joystick AND the rudders (the rudders will replace twist axis).
If there's no device name displayed in the device list window click on the Restart button.

I'm going to use both black boxes, one for the grip, one for the rudders. That should eliminate the need to flash the MCG with the "no twist" file, right? it's now two separate devices.
I did the restart thing, it detects the stick, but then when I do the bootloader it shows up as the NJoy32 thing.
I'll try to take some pics,

Really need those pics, not sure what's happening otherwise.

Open the Configurator. Sometimes I see that NJoy thing instead of the joystick. I noticed the green light on the base is off when this is the case. I "restart" and it pops up with the joystick.

Select the joystick, it says I need to calibrate, I just hit the OK and drive on.

Is only the MCG Pro grip connected to the Black Box during this operation?

Yes. I plugged the rudder into it's own black box.

Swap the Black Boxes and make sure there’s only 1 device plugged when flashing.

Okay, I tried swapping black boxes. When I plugged the MCG into the box the rudders were previously plugged into, it always showed up as "rudder pedals" in the Configurator. When I plugged it into the usual box, it read correctly, but never flashed.
