Springs degradation

Postby shadak » Mon Jun 14, 2021 1:58

So I have got MGC Ultimate in the first batch and since then been using 40+30 maybe it was 40+20 on pitch axis.
I havent had time to fly for last 2 months so it was sitting unused on my rig. Today when I tried it, it became significantly weaker. I could easy get to the end of push and not as easy but still easy to pull, push is noticeably weaker though.

I looked inside and both springs are OK, they just became weak. Is this normal after being unused? Is there anything I should do please? I will replace them with spares but wonder if I leave these current ones in the box again, will they "snap" back to normal after some reest?

Thanks

This actually shouldn't happen at all. Did you took them out, do the look stretched?

Thank you for checking in, I took it apart and its not stretched at all it seems, was maybe a little easier to take off but springs look completely fine. Strange, I will try to put on spares and see how it feels. I doubt Id gained so much strength over 2 months that it would be the reason for easy push :)

EDIT: so I put in spare, new springs and it feels almost the same :| i cant see anything else wrong with the base, and it was rally just the tension that felt different. After the change at least I can feel the force same for push and pull which is arguably more important. Very sorry for panicking! I really must have gained strength or just remembered it wrong.
