Handle wire harness partially damaged - spare part purchaseable?

Good day!

I have purchased a VKB Gladiator NXT Premium via AliExpress and I am very happy with my purchase.

I have however "messed up" when assembling the joystick and had not inserted the cable guide/protector all the way in the handle such that when I screwed the handle on the plate I accidentally scraped one the AWG wires with one of the screws as it was trapped between the handle and the base.
I did notice something was off and stopped screwing immediately and the joystick is indeed working as normal as I am pretty sure it is only the rubber insulation that was damaged by the screw (and some of the tin plating on the copper cable seems to be gone as well but no severed wires that I could see).

Nevertheless since this cable will be moving quite a bit over the months/years I am thinking it could be a weakness leading to a severed cable in the future.

Questions:
- should I remove the handle, open it and switch the cable around so that the damaged part sits in the handle instead (and thus moves less)?
- alternatively (I would prefer this solution), is it possible for VKB to send me a replacement cable? (I am ready to pay the spare part price & shipment fee)

Thanks in advance for your kind support!

Regards,

Noriam

Show a photo of this place in the joystick. You can write to sales@vkb-sim.pro to replace the cable.
