MCGU grip not centering out of the box
I recently purchased the Gunfighter Mark III desktop version with MCG Ultimate grip. Out of the box I got pretty good but not perfect centering on the X axis and terrible inconsistency in centering on the Y axis. I replaced the Y axis cams with the H version and replaced the factory installed #20 spring with a #30. It now centers on the Y axis quite well, but with the hard "bump" at center. I'm wondering if someone can tell me what the minimum spring strength I need to get good centering with the soft center cams. Since this is a desktop model I don't want to use really stiff springs. I'm using the AVIA version of cams.

Re: MCGU grip not centering out of the box
I would suggest to put back the #20 springs and add a #10 on each cam. See how it centers and adjust the rest from deadzone. If deadzone exceeds 2.5 then put #20 springs instead of #10s. Here's a video about adjusting the base. Be careful how you'd tighten up the cams' bolts (neither too tight or too loose won't do).

Have you made sure the dry clutches are fully loosened? I know that they used to come tightened from the factory for transit.
