Poor QC, really disappointed with Ultimate

Attached is a photo of what I just received. For $500+ USD I'm a bit irritated this passed quality control. Over time I'm sure the finish with degrade/chip even further. I sent a support message to VKB but have a question for the folks who have dealt with their support before. How do they handle these types of things, good customer service or am I looking at even more disappointment? Also has anyone else with an ultimate received theirs in this condition?

Oh you got the reliced version? that is the more expensive one next to the gold..
