Macro tick marks moving

I ran into a problem that I seem to recall having long ago when I was first adding some macros to the stick. I have a list of things each of which might span 3 rows. So I'll check the tick box at the end of a row where the macro is to continue to the next row and not check the box if the macro is ended, separating the macros.

Here's the problem. This week for the first time in a long while I needed a new macro so I added one. Short one, only a couple of keystrokes so it was on its own row at the bottom of the list. No big deal. I set it to the stick and saved the macros as a new file. Loaded the file and set it. I tested the new macro. It worked fine. Last night I'm flying and need to change salvos and notice it's spitting out ALL of my macros! So I know something is up. Didn't have time for that in a combat situation of course so I did what I needed with the actual keyboard. Fun stuff in VR!

So I checked in the configurator macros section and found what caused it. And this had happened to me before. As I move up and down in the macros list whether I drag the bar or click on the up or down button, the tick boxes at the end of the rows are randomly changing by themselves either on or off. All of the check boxes were changed merging several macros together which caused the problem. This makes it kind of impossible to fix as I have more macros than can be seen on that screen and have to scroll thru them. I tick or untick boxes to be where they are supposed to be, try to move down the list, fix them, scroll back, now the ones at the top are messed up again. Scroll back down and the bottom is hosed. Very frustrating!

If my explanation isn't clear I can make a short vid of what's happening.

I don't remember if this was a bug or not and it's been a very long time since I've had to add a macro. I apparently did get it right somehow but forget what it was I did to get there. Is there another way to edit a macro file outside of the configurator? That could get it done. A spreadsheet program?

Here's the link to my original post about this with some pics of what was happening. I never did get a reply to that one either and that's been years.

Still trying to get this nailed down. I've tried running it with the PC in safe mode with the same results. Tick marks move around by themselves as I scroll the macro screen making it impossible to fix. If this is a known bug can ya just let me know so I stop wasting time trying to get around it?
