Just ordered and received a new Gunfighter Mk.III ‘Modern Combat Edition’ Ultimate today and started putting things together. With the extension installed, the joystick doesnt work. Without it, it works just fine. Anything I could have done that would prevent that from working? Theres only one way to install this, Ive tried multiple firmware flashes to no avail, and the only thing I get when it is installed are the x/y axises to register. Is this a common issue?

Press on the extension gently while tightening the fastener, then do the same with the grip, just to make sure it seats properly.

I got one of those extensions a couple of months back. I had the same issue. In my case it was miswired internally. I was able to track it down with a multimeter. The contacts should match top to bottom. The good news is if that's happening you can easily take it apart. The harder step is swapping out the wires to their proper positions in the little connector inside.

Before you go thru all that be sure to check the action of the contact pins in the grip and the extension. They should all spring back after some light pressure. Make sure both the pins and the contact pads are clean and both ends are seated with the grip and stick properly. If they weren't you'd get the same result.
