Thank you. Changes have been made on the production line after the second report.

hi...

just received both of my sticks today: Premium Right & Standard Left

Premium Right has got the same issue : Y-Axis loose and drift :-/
Standard Left have top right hat directions non-functional.

a bit disapointed for two brand new sticks.
let see if it's yet another a magnet problem...

Sorry man, let's see if you could get them running fast: fix for Y axis drifting and fix for HAT not recognized (it is a HAT switch right, and not a ministick?).

yep... I'm gonna try to glue the magnet (Premium Right seems to have the issue) - gonna try as soon I get some plastic friendly glue.

on the Standard Left stick, the top right hat only center click seems to work, up/down/left/right selections don't (no buttons detected under VKBDevCfg)

Flash your left hand NXT with he firmware attached below, it will make your HAT switch work as POV.
1. Download the configurator;
2. Download the bootloader;
3. Download the attached firmware;
4. Unzip all the 3 files in the same folder;
5. Launch VKBDevCfg as Admin and click the Bootloader button under Tools tab;
6. Navigate to the firmware file folder and load it up;
7. After the bootloader finishes launch VKBDevCfg and click the Default button under Tools tab;
8. Go to Test/Axes1 tab and click on the Start Calibr button;
9. Move your pitch, roll and yaw axes all the way, slowly at the end;
10. Move the mini-throttle up and down;
11. Press the End Calibr button.
That's it.

Re: Gladiator NXT Y-Axis Drift

Hello,

I've bought a Gladiator NXT 1 month ago.
And I have the same problem of this drifting Y axis on a Premium right version.
I try to upgrade the firmware (with a lot of difficulties) and recalibrate but it doesn't solved my issue.

I saw the solution to glue the magnet. So I will try it, but my drift is not as big as previous post. My center value vary from 28.000 to 36.000 (instead of 32767).

So my questions,
[*]is it without risk to apply the following procedure ? viewtopic.php?f=25&t=5508#p48532
[*]Is there a specific orientation for the magnet ? Or can I glue the magnet (on the good face) and just place it in the plastic receptacle without any particular angle ?

This problem is a little annoying and frustrating for a joystick of this price.
I hope, remove the magnet and glue it back will solve this issue.

Thanks.

Sorry to hear about it Damgot. Please go ahead and open it up and check the magnet following the walkthrough you've linked. Be careful so you won't touch/clean up the grease.
When reaching the magnet try to remove it with a larger piece of metal. If it comes off you only need a drop of glue on its back and another one on its side. Just put it back with the same face out, rest doesn't matter.
Please say so if you need further assistance.

Hello,

So I've followed the procedure, and at the last point, when I need to remove the plastic block that hide the magnet, the magnet felt down. So it was not glued at all.

I glued it back with this : https://www.pattex.be/fr/produits/colle ... r-gel.html

And now it's fixed, and will never be able to move.
I've reassembled the joystick and recalibrated it and now it seems to be good.

I will try to play 1 hour, dog fight in star citizen, to see if the problem is well solved but it seems so.

Thanks a lot for your help

Regluing the magnet would definitely fix the issue. Again, sorry for the trouble and thanks for your patience to get in and fix it.

Confirmed. After 3 hours of hard dog fight, everything is at 32767.

It works !

Thanks a lot. Issue solved for me
