MCG Ultimate-Gate Cont as POV

Apparently my severe case of dumbassedness from yesterday has carried over into today. For the life of me I can't enable Gate Cont as POV 2, I'm sure it's a simple step I've missed so I'm looking for a kind soul to help me out.
After I received the grip yesterday, the first thing I did was swap out the 2 mini's for the 2 hats. Then I followed all the steps in the video for latest firmware, default setting, calibration, etc. Fired the unit up and did a few test flights after which I decided to swap out the Gate hat for a mini. Disconnect unit, swap modules, power up, hit default to reset device, calibrate, all looks good. Go to profile, hit poll, hit button on Gate, identify location then setup for uStick Switch, POV 2, switch by Tempo and check POV mode on start, close Button Mapping Wizard then moved to POV screen set POV type to LoRes 8w, hit the set button and wait.
And here is where my problem lies, screen still shows POV 2 as not enabled, what step did I miss?
