Possibility of toggling BrakeV function?

Postby Thinking » Thu Feb 25, 2021 1:04

Pretty much as the title says. It would be really useful if it was possible to toggle the BrakeV function for axes using a button, I have tried a bunch of stuff: AUX axes in order to override the input from BrakeV doesn't seem to work, I even tried to create a sacrificial axis that mirrors the rudder axis which I could then apply Fix Axes to but BrakeV doesn't seem to recognize "fake" (i.e. Aux Axis, Combine:Average) axes as a source for rudder input.

Differential brakes from a button? Just. See pictures.

In my case I need to be able to have analog control over the braking axes, from what I can tell, this method only offers a digital input via the button, correct? Something similar was described in the NJoy32 manual and when I tested it, pressing the button just increased the brakes.

My current setup is this:

* Throttle Axis 5

* Rudder Axis 3

* Axis 7 and 8 is BrakeV3 from Axis 3

If button is pressed, Sw0 5 < 7 and Sw0 5 < 8

Result: When I use the throttle axis while the button is pressed, it is controlling the brakes simultaneously and I can use the rudder to utilize virtual toebrakes in the BrakeV3 mode.

My goal is to have an additional button which I can use to "lock" the two braking axes together, so that the braking is always symmetrical regardless of the rudder position.
