Gladiator pro NXT Left z-axis neutral

When trying to setup my left stick, the z-axis seems to be in the neutral position when twisted to the right. I tried to calibrate it, and it is still the same. I have it set to strafe up and down, so when the sticks z-axis is centered it always thrusts down, then i twist left it thrusts down hard, when i twist right it becomes neutral. Unsure if this is a hardware or software issue, as I am not technically inclined but mechanically inclined. Please- anyone have some insight?

How did you calibrate it? If you used VKBDevCfg please post a screenshot with Profile/Axes/Physical and Logical Axes.
