I have just plugged in my SCG right hand (have had a left for a month or two now), flashed it to v2_00_7 which is also on the left.

What do the LED’s on the black box represent? I am confused that they are different on the black box for each stick.
Left: 1 x red, 1 x green
Right: 1 x blue, 2 x green

Most likely, they show some kind of events. More details can be said only after the screenshot of the Global-External-Leds tab. For it to appear, and at the same time the ability to assign the indication of these events, you need to add lines in the zconfig.ini file, as in the picture.

Left Hand SCG


I did change the LED on the grip from the default light blue, to red, and made it flash blue rapidly when using a SHIFT key.

Right Hand SCG


No changes to Right grip...still default.

LED #3 on the Blackbox-L and Blackbox-R lights green when A1 is activated, the small red LED on the SCG also lights red.


Does the LED on the top left of the black box mirror the colour of the LED on the SCG?
If so, then my only question remaining, is the green LED#2 on the blackbox

First you need to understand where and under what number the Leds are on the BB and on the SCG grip.
# 0 - Sys - R / B color
# 1,2,3, - captioned on photo with correct R / G color
# 10 - RGB to SCG
# 11 - only red on SCG
Why is the red # 0 on the left BB lit? because it's worth inverting it here


To answer the last question, you need to see the Profile-Buttons tab on the corresponding BB.

Your question helped me see why #0 was a different colour thank you.

Both BB are now displaying the same colour LED's


In all honesty, the software is still very complicated to me, and I have not yet understood what the BB LED's 0,1,2 are indicating. I now know #3 is indicating switch A1 mode (correct?), which the small LED on the SCG also indicates.

I would like to understand the software more.

The LEDs are indicating whatever you want them to indicate Play with it and experiment, you could always reset to default if you get lost.
You could find the LEDs numbers by scrolling through numbers (LED N) and clicking the Fast Test button (pic.1). You'll have to restart your device afterwards.
Then you could assign an event as in pic.2 (which could be a button press, an axis in center, a shift mode etc) to an operation number OP1 (specify which axis being in center is getting represented by that specific LED, which button press activates the LED, which shift number is active etc), assign it a LED# (which you identified in previous step), set up the way that LED signals (LED Mode) and indicating its color. Don't forget to press Set at the end to save the changes.
