Hi everyone,

I just received my Gladiator NXT Premium Left and Right joysticks recently and I noticed that while I can calibrate them just fine using the VKBDevCfg software, it seems I get an error in VKBDevCfg when I access the device profile: "GET NXT ACTIVE CFG - FAILED" in the upper right corner right after the "Init" phase. It seems that I can "set" profiles on the device, but when I do this it seems like my toggle functionality
for the analog hat no longer is functional, nor does the LED indicate the status of the hat (red for analog mode). It also seems like the settings haven't truly applied. Resetting the device using "default" seems to work at least to get me back to the "default" profile, including being able to use the toggle functionality of the analog hat, but doesn't get me any closer towards setting custom profiles on the device.

I've tried both the latest stable (v0.91.54) and testing (v0.91.60) versions of the software,
tried different USB ports, tried a different computer, tried re-flashing the firmware and using the latest testing firmware (v2.01), and tried resetting the device using the "default" button. The issue remains and affects both joysticks. Other than this, they seem to be working fine.
I was wondering if anyone has encountered this problem and if so, how did you solve it? I've googled for a while and haven't been able to come up with anything. Any advice would be really appreciated.

What do you mean by 'access the device profile'? Could you describe the process step by step?

After loading the profile, do you press the Set button?

By 'access the profile', I mean when you press "Get" in VKBDevCfg or when you click on the joystick in the selection box within VKBDevCFG, that error comes up in the status window momentarily on the upper right hand side of the screen. I have attached a screenshot here to show the error:



It's easy to reproduce by simply starting VKBDevCfg and waiting for the "Init" stage to pass. You can reproduce it again by clicking "Get" in the screenshot above.

I did press the "Set" button a few times, and that resulted in not being able to toggle the analog hat on the Gladiator NXT.

And if you add the line User=Developer to the [User] section of the zconfig.ini file located in the configurator folder?

Confirmed that adding User=Developer to the [USER] section worked!! Thank you!

It still lists the original error in the screenshot shown, but it does seem to still get the device profile and let me modify settings. May want to report this as a potential UI bug.
