New MK IV pedals: how to change force from NORM TO HIGH?

Postby Fielder » Wed Oct 07, 2020 8:20

I see the FORCE|NORM and FORCE|HI holes in my new pedal set. Is there a video showing how to open the pedals and change the force? I do not want to start opening things up unless I know what I'm getting into

Thanks.

By the way: U.S. rubber band size number 82 will increase necessary forces nicely at least for several weeks before wearing out. I put 3 on each pedal (vertically from pedal to platform). It seems to me the force just about tripled, and increases the further you mash down the pedal, exactly as you would want. The bag I purchased for $10 or so was marked approximate 230 bands in the bag. #82 is 2-1/2" long by 1/2" wide (a very wide rubber band). They will stretch to about 3-1/2" on the pedal but you put the same number of bands on each pedal so the forces stay equal and centered, if they were before. In fact if off centered before, it might help center them.
