My gunfighter kosmosima's center hat switch just snapped off, how do I go about getting a replacement? Thanks

Okay i made a ticket.. i have read that this is a fairly common problem, and that the new gladiator NXT sticks now have metal hat switch posts. Is this true? Thanks.

I wouldn't rely too much on fixing the issue by installing a metal post. The number of the plastic posts breaking is almost insignificant reported to the total number of grips sold so far; it is also not guaranteed as being a technical failure as it could also be user error, like pushing too much on that hat. In case of abuse a user with a metal post will eventually manage to break the hat or its PCB. I'm not saying that this is your case, I'm just trying to provide an objective perspective on the issue.

I was just curious because if given the option I would rather take the metal post as a replacement. I hope its possible to get more than just 1 new plastic post, because if this happens again I would like to be able to fix it right away instead of waiting what I assume will be weeks of shipping. I'm also in Canada so if I am stuck with the shipping costs, I really don't want to ever have to go through this again, especially after spending nearly $700CDN all said and done on this.

No worries, you're definitely covered by warranty, but please write to sales@vkb-sim.pro and specify that you need more of those. After that it's up to you to decide if you're a bit hard on pressing the buttons or not; in case that you are then I strongly recommend plastic post as metal would create definitely more damage.

I assure you that when it broke I was being very light with it, and was very shocked when it fell out from under my thumb. However it does see more use and wear than any other part on the stick as I use it to control the Pips and all the Menus in Elite Dangerous. My ticket has been passed to VKB HQ, but they will not see it until Monday because of the holiday. I will have to request additional posts as well as another thumb grip as the post sheared off flush with the thumb grip and I can't remove it. should I email them or just wait until I hear back on the ticket? Thanks

Try to write to them now and mention your ticket number too so they could correlate.

So it turns out the new Hat switch posts are metal in the newer sticks if anyone else was curious.

Wait.. what? Are we gonna receive these metal posts too? Or will it be available for purchase

I’d love the option to order some of those metal posts as well.
