Gladiator NXT - Ministick analog red LED not working after config

While I was trying to change the encoders to trim axis, I noticed that after flashing the changes, the red ministick LED no longer lights up when changing from POV to analog mode. I was able to replicate this even without any changes to the default layout:
1) Reset to Default - red indicator works
2) Get
3) Set
4) No changes to button layout, but red indicator no longer works
5) Reset to Default - red indicator works again
I'm using the latest version of the config software.

There's no reason to Get anything in that situation. If you want to reset to default just click the Default button and re-calibrate. After making any changes you want to KEEP press Set button. If you want to DISCARD any changes you've made and return to previous profile click Get. You could also save a good working profile with Save and load it with... well, Load.

The analog indicator is still not working after doing this:
1) default, then calibrate
2) change encoder to trim and enable trim on axis 7 and 8
3) Set
no changes to any other button.

I'm having the same issue. Basically whenever I change anything with the config, I lose the red indicator function for the ministick.
Did you find a solution?

gidimi, thanks for confirming I'm not the only one with the issue. I looked at the LED settings but couldn't understand it, so I'm waiting for someone from VKB to figure it out.
Currently, I set the stick to default to analog on startup, since I'm always using analog mode and never the POV mode.

I see. I'd like to use my ministick both as a button and toggle for POV, I know how to do that but I lose the LED indicator which is frustrating. So for now I have it setup as default until we hear of a solution.

@Errorvator, @gidimi
Try with
this firmware version and
this software version.
Make sure you have all the files needed (firmware, software, bootloader) in the same folder. Also add this line: User=Developer under [User] section and this line: Test Misc Enabled=1 under [Common] section in zconfig.ini file, which should be in the same folder with the others.

Glad to hear both - fixing the issue and enjoying the joystick

Thanks, fallout9, it worked! I set my preferred settings (axis for encoders, default analog on mini-stick) and the red indicator light still works.

Does anyone know the ID numbers for the LED's on the NXT stick?
So far from test function I have confirmed three of the four LED id's on the NXT, but can't work out the other one.
Top of stick
RED (id =11)
BLUE (can set colour on this one) id= 10
Base
RHS (blue) id=0 system LED?
LHS ??? *this one not sure what it is*

This is also number 0. It's just a composite two-color Led. Go to Test-Misc and in the lower right corner, put 0 in the Led N window and hold down the Fast Test button. Possible colors and locations of the Led will be shown. To restore Led functionality after this test, you need to restart the device.
