Hi All - got my new NXT and loving it. Trying to get a handle on all the buttons and some basic programming. One of the first roadblocks for me was trying to get the POV ministick mapped properly in IL-2.
I can bind keys to do basic 0-45-90-180-270 looks, but can't seem to get the ministick to function as a full sweeping POV that moves the view as I move the ministick. Trying to figure out what I am missing but searching for an answer so far has eluded me.
Thanks for your help!

Ministick has 2 functions: buttons and axes. Press on the center button to switch between modes and program the axes for viewing around in Il-2, not buttons.
Re: Gladiator NXT - Ministick Not Funtioning as POV in IL-2
OK so I assigned the stick on the axes in camera view. Still does nothing in the game. I know it's simple - guess I need to know exactly how to set the control. Thanks for your help!
Gladiator NXT and IL-2 POV - No Love
Hi All,
Sorry if this turns out to be a silly question but I am new to the NXT and IL-2. For the life of me I cannot get the left side ministick/hat to act as a POV stick to let me see around me. I have put it in as buttons, put it on axes and nothing I do makes it respond in IL-2. I can get zoom in/out functions and other key settings to work, but not the ability to move the switch around to check my position and six. Don't understand what I am doing wrong. Fallout told me to assign them to axes which I did and no response. Thanks!

Hey JP, if you want to assign the ministick to look around get in the game at Key Mappings, the Pilot Head Controls and map the axes of the ministick to Bow Pilot Head Vertically and Turn Pilot Head Horizontally. You could map the buttons of the ministick to other useful controls like head snap in different position which would fit your style best.

Re: Gladiator NXT - Ministick Not Funtioning as POV in IL-2
Thanks Fallout. Something is still not right - I set everything to default, went back in and ONLY changed pitch, roll and yaw then the view axes - bow head down and then head horizontally as you said.
Going back into game the ministick only moves the left side a quarter view, then when I move the stick right it funky moves about a third to the right side and sticks. It will not give me a smooth look either right or left nor will it go back to center. Any idea what is going on??? I have a high end 8700K, 2080 Super, SSD, 32 meg ram.
I have been resetting to defaults, leaving game, coming back into game and trying again - no luck. Thanks for your help.

Re: Gladiator NXT - Ministick Not Funtioning as POV in IL-2
Went back in and made sure to set everything to default, stripped out all joystick references and started over.
Now the ministick will give me correct left/right panning all the way to the back seat and front again, but the up/down head view only goes down (even though showing axis of 0-180) gets stuck in the chair and it's done. Will show me up, but as soon as stick is moved downward it will *not* move the view back up. It then gets stuck on the seat and locks. Have no idea why it is not working properly.

Is your ministick calibrated? Could you post a screenshot of your Profile/Axes/Physical Axes?
Re: Gladiator NXT - Ministick Not Funtioning as POV in IL-2
Picture of Axes attached. Yes I have calibrated multiple times thinking that is the issue.
Thanks for your continued guidance - I'll get there!

Re: Gladiator NXT - Ministick Not Funtioning as POV in IL-2
Looks like your ministick is not calibrated.
Do this: press on the Test tab in the lower left corner, then Axes tab. Once you're there press the Tools tab, followed by clicking on the Start Calibr button. Move your pitch and roll slowly up and down, left and right a few times; twist the grip left and right, move the throttle up and down a few times. Coordinate your movements with the sliders on the screen - if a slider is not moving then that axis is not calibrating. Now press on the top of your A1 ministick until the red LED comes on on the grip head. Move the ministick so you could see the sliders on the screen moving too. When all done press the End Calibr button, wait for the joystick to restart and try again in game.

Thanks fallout - that was the problem. Did not realize I needed to push in the ministick before calibration - saw every axes move correctly and all functions (including throttle axes) work correctly in the game. Spent some more time in the manual as well - than you very much for your help!
Enjoying the NXT - it's a great stick!
