For a while now, one of the buttons on my MCG Grip (Button 9) will randomly activate when I move the joystick through its pitch and roll axes. I've tried resetting the profile and updating the firmware, but nothing's worked. Firmware revision and other details are in the screenshot.
This happens both outside of playing Il2 Battle of Stalingrad and while playing the game.

It is rather strange that the virtual keyboard keys are triggered if it is not activated at all. Show the Global tab and Profile-Buttons.
You can try using the latest firmware and configurator from here.

It is the latest beta version of both firmware and configurator. Could be downloaded from here. You could either try those or the latest stable version, but whatever you'd decide to do first, just get BOTH the firmware and software. And don't forget to press the Default button after flashing. Guide here.

Re: Phantom button presses with my MCG grip
Ok, so far everything seems alright with the latest stable firmware (in regards to the phantom button pressing problem), but now a new problem has cropped up - the X-axis occasionally jumps around when moving the stick to the left of center. I pulled the stick off the mount and wiped off the contacts to make sure everything was clean and then reattached everything, so hopefully, that fixes the problem.

If that's not enough and you'll keep getting these jitters just open the base, unplug all the white connectors and plug them back firmly. Also check if the wires are sitting properly inside the connectors.

I also suffer this problem LukeFF and have noticed that if I swing the stick 360 degrees a few times the button presses will stop. I have 0 explanation just wanted to share. It could very well be a loose connection or something (especially since it has persisted through multiple firmware updates) but since the problem is easily mitigated I hadn't taken things back apart quite yet.

Ok, thanks! I did some flying after I updated the firmware and software last night, and everything seemed to be OK.

Re: Phantom button presses with my MCG grip
Glad it was solved for you, unfortunately the new firmware/software was a temporary fix for me and it started doing it again in short order. If you don't mind answering, did you ever end up trying the extreme software or simply use the latest stable?
