Hello,
I am sorry if those questions are asked very often, i got a SCG grip a few days ago and i would like to assign the pinky button (button 5) to shift modifier (if i press the pinky button, it should act as a shift modifier). I searched on multiple topics about this and read the manual but i couldn't get it to work, for example i tried this :

I also tried some other things but i am surely doing all wrong. Can someone tell me how to do it please ?
PS : I am using it for DCS and i am currently in Red Led mode (it doesn't go to green when i press it, i know that i have to set it up but i don't know if it has something to do with button mapping ).

There's a
profile you could use as an example, with Mode button switching all the buttons on the joystick; you could load it up and see how it works to use it as a guide for your own custom profile.
Make the Shift button Momentary only if you want to act as Shift while pressed; if you want to activate shift by press and release set it up as Alternate.
Set the Shift button as Track as a Button if you want to get input from it in game; otherwise uncheck the box.
LEDs are supposed to get programmed to act as you wish, check the linked profile to see how it's done.

Thank you i loaded your profile and the mode button is working correctly. I saw how to get double buttons by switching the mode, however i still can't figure out how to make the pinky button act as lshift. I tried something but it's not working :

If i understood correctly, when the led is red then the pinky button should be 'Button 5' but when the led is green, it should be 'Key_A' + 'left shift", however i would like it to be 'left shift' only, without 'Key_A', and if possible in both Red / Green Led, can you tell me how to do this please ? (i am using the profile you sent).

There's a lot of confusion here coming I think from the wrong interpretation of the term 'Shift'. Using the Shift command in the software is not related at all with the keyboard key Shift. The Shift command is changing/shifting the output of a joystick button. A joystick button could get assigned to Shift keyboard key, but only in combination with another key (like in your example Shift + A).
Also, for the LEDs to work, they're supposed to be programmed to respond to various inputs.
I'd like to help you, but I don't really understand what you're after here; I thought at first that you want to set up the Shift mode on the pinkie instead of Mode button, but it seems it's not the case.

Sorry for being confusing, i wanted to make the pinky button act as 'left shift', that way i can use it like a modifier on DCS without having to use my keyboard, but it seems that it isn't possible because i can only use left shift with a key ?

In this case it's really easy, why won't you simply set up the pinkie buttons as a modifier in DCS?
