MCG Pro brake lever deactivate?

Hello everyone:
Recently got an MCG Pro with twist and loving it. One of my games, however, upon configuration, sees the brake level in its idle position as a fully deployed control, such that whenever I try to configure any function it just maps it to that axis. It only doesn't do that if I hold the brake lever right in the middle of its range of travel . I'm VERY SLOWLY learning the DevCfg utility, but it's clear to me how I can use that to null out or disable that axis. What should I do?

You have to get your device calibrated before getting into the game. Calibration guide for MCG Pro:

The joystick is calibrated. The program is an emulator called Demul. It doesn't have calibration options separate from the joystick itself. Its seeing the brake lever as a fully depressed axis since it starts all the way on one end of its range. I need to edit it in the config tool.

So what's interfering with Demul? The axis or the virtual button on the brake?

The axis. I need some way to either just nullify it entirely or convince Demul that 0 is actually the center.

Try to increase its deadzone - it comes standard with 10, go to 15 first and higher if needed. Press Set at the end to save changes.

No change with that unfortunately. Also tried unchecked enable axis on that screen.

No idea what that emulator would like the axis to be like. Maybe you could try In(version) and Vs(ible) too.
