Gladiator K Calibration

Postby Arg0n89 » Thu Jun 25, 2020 4:13

I just bought a left and right Gladiator K set of joysticks. I plugged them in and I tried to calibrate them in the config software but I can't get the Rot X and Rot Z to work. I clicked the A1 button to activate the mini stick but that didn't work on either and the red light didn't go on when I clicked either

Isn't the red LED on the base flashing? That means the grip is not seated properly on the base. See here how to install it: https://youtu.be/ac3Jmaw17jE
After properly installing the grip, run the calibration and hold the A1 center button pressed for 2-3 seconds. When the small LED light comes up on the grip then the ministick axes are active.

Thanks for the response. It doesn't flash red but when I check the button menu in the tools menu, it shows that I am pressing the mini stick in so I am pretty sure it's seated properly since I did follow that video. Also no communication error in the external devices menu

And to add the red light in the base does flash red once I press the trigger during calibration which seems to mean that calibration didn't work

Run the calibration please through VKBDevCfg, follow this video from the time stamp (you don't need the re-flash part): https://youtu.be/Xw91bRNsrPs?t=154

Thanks but that is exactly what I am trying to do. I can't finish the calibration because I can't activate the mini stick

Ministick is RotX and RotY. Why are you Asking about RotZ though? Have you changed things in Configurator?
Doesn't matter, press the Default button and try again to calibrate.

So my mistake saying RotZ. I can't do RotX and RoyY. I clicked default to reset both and still nothing when I hold in the mini stick

Do you have the standard or premium version of the grips?

Standard Kosmosima has no ministick, just a regular hat.

Okay thanks that's helpful. I just don't understand why it flashes red after i say end calibration then? I thought that meant the calibration wasn't finished? I always do Axis X, Axis Y, Rot Z and Axis Z

If it's a short flash it's fine, if the LED's permanently flashing then there's a problem with calibration, maybe one of the axes haven't been covered the whole range. There's pitch, roll, twist and mini-throttle on your device, make sure you're going end to end on all these axes when calibrating.

Should I be ending the calibration by clicking "end calibration" or pressing the trigger?

If you're doing the mechanical calibration press the trigger, if you're doing it through software press the End Calibr. button.
