GunFighter MKIII MCG Pro

Postby rocky250f@gmail.com » Fri Jun 12, 2020 21:42

Hello!

I have two gunfighter mk iii's, one mcg pro and one scg L. First off let me say great products! I already have a scg r on order because your kit is so good.

The SCG works flawless but I am having a couple weird issues with the MCG Pro.

1. The twist stopped working (Started working again after a flash and reset)

2. All of the axis randomly start maxing out to the inverted side when moving the stick. So say I am moving the stick right, when I hit either a % of movement or sometimes a certain amount acceleration , that axis will then max out to the left. But it seems to be intermittent as it is visible in the vkbconfig testing software. This happens on all of the axis except the mastermode so far, even the base axis.

Steps I have taken to rectify the issue myself:

1. Multiple recalibrations following vkbs mcg pro recalibration procedure
2. Flash to the newest and last released versions.
3. Tested with default settings.

Thanks for any pointers you can give me.

Have you tried to swap grips and bases? This would be helpful to find out if the issue is grip or base related.

I have not yet! Good idea, I will swap the bases and report back.

So I swapped the bases, and then both sticks had issues with flipping axis, every axis except for the brake on the mcg pro and the twist on scg left as soon as it reached 75% of max travel.

This brought me to the conclusion that this is more than likely not a hardware issue and either software/usb or calibration related.

I found that when calibrating if i watch and see which axis is responding improperly, if I repeatedly work that axis maybe 3-5 times the axis will stop flipping.

I think this may be the cause of my issues. Hopefully this helps someone else if they see it.

As of now both sticks are working perfectly, but I will use them for a couple of days, see what happens and update.

Thanks

Every time you swap grips and bases and Black Boxes between devices you have to recalibrate.
Also cleaning up the 3 contact pads on the base stem with just a bit of alcohol and a qtip might help.
