[Solved] VKB Gladiator PRO MKII (Converted to RevB) + SCG PRO grip - Communication ErrorLevel

Hello,

I noticed I have quite a lot of Communication ErrorLevel with my brand new Gladiator PRO. Received last month. I tried to reinstall the grip on the base several time, and also check the connection inside the base, and also cleaning the pad and the pin (with alcohol) but everything looks good to me. I am out of idea.

What else could I try?

Note that it happen at/or very near maximum deflection, I use the cam and spring that came by default, so, Cam#10 and Spring#20 on both axes. Also please note I do NOT force at all at max deflection. I am always very soft with my joystick, that's why I don't play Space Sim.. And apparently I couldn't with my stick anyway.. :/

Currently I am running 0.91.26 with 1.99.4. (I often use latest as I often "work" with Alex to implement new feature and so obviously I want to test and enjoy those new features )

I can take video if needed, with my phone so you can see I am in no way abusing the stick, which is solidly mounted to my pit.

Please take photo of the grip's pins. You have to keep pushing the grip down until you tighten the fastener.

I do press down gently on the grip when tightening the fastener. Two picture below of the base and grip contact.

Edit, looking closely at the grip connection to the base, I can see a very small gap even if I push down on the grip while tightening the fasterner. And the fasterner is tightened quite hard.. I tried several time but I don't see a way to get rid of that little gap. The problem seems to come from there indeed as when I apply down pressure to the grip I do not have any communication error.

Edit, I am testing with the KG12 grip, no issue at all with this one.

Solved, following Zero instruction I disassembled the grip down to the connector where I couldn't find anything wrong. I then cleaned both the "connector pad" and the pin with Isopropyl alcohol 99.9% applied on a cotton swab and now it work perfectly.
