Hello,
I just received the MCG PRO grip for the Black Mamba base.
When installing the latest firmware the only one which would install is for the Vintage Black Mamba. When testing the buttons in the VKB Device Config tool, none of them work.
I then started to wonder what a Vintage Black Mamba is and searched on the internet and was surprised to see that mine looks the same as this https://forums.mudspike.com/t/introducing-the-vkb-vintage-fat-black-mamba-joystick/1248.
No where on my base does the word "Vintage" show up but I think this is what I have.
I ordered a grip for the Black Mamba so I have to ask, is this why none of the buttons work?

If this is the case then I assume I need to exchange my MCG PRO for Black Mamba base with an MCG PRO for Vintage Black Mamba base. Is this correct? Anything I can do to get the one I have to work?

Which firmware did you used? Show me file name.

When changing the grip, you need to use the corresponding firmware. In your case, it will be MambaVint_MCG_Pro_v1_99_6.

The issue was that I was not pulling the grip plug out to plug it into the base. My previous base did not do this.

As far as driver versions, I had been using _VintageMamba_MCG_PRO_v1_97_0.vkb. I jused moved to _MambaVint_MCG_Pro_v1_98_F.vkb

I only see VKB Device Firmware (v1.98.F) – UPDATED on the website on the download page. Where can I get version v1.99.6 which you recommend.

Sometimes it would be nice to get some pointers from Alex Oz as to which firmware versions to put on the webshop for customers to download. Frustrating for us sales reps.

Edit: I've uploaded the recommended firmware and VKBdevCfg to VKBcontrollers.com now.
