I am on VKB Device Config v0.91.22.
Device: Gunfighter + MCG Pro with twist adapter
I am having an issue where a small amount of twist (about 40% of the whole available twist axis) and the Z axis go from 32319 to 0, and same the other way around from 32319 to 65535. Is there a way to tune this axis?
On another note, is there a documentation available somewhere for super beginners like myself? I've managed to assemble the device, but I am having a tough time finding my way around. Are there any guides I can follow? First and foremost, I would like to solve this twist issue.
Thank you in advance.

Re: Twist adapter hypersensitive
Hi Ozz,
Most probably your joystick haven't been properly calibrated. Please follow this guide to calibrate it: https://youtu.be/LBW0P1mlGno and make sure you'll include the twist axis in the process.
If after the calibration you'll face the same issues please post a screenshot of Profile/ Axes/ Physical axes panels.

Re: Twist adapter hypersensitive
Thank you, sir. It is now fixed after the calibration
Another question that I have is I can't center the stick. I have uneven "feel" from twisting left vs right. Not sure if there is something wrong with my unit, but I can't imagine it being this card.
There is a needle at the base that sticks out, and it goes directly in the little hole in the back side of the grip. When I insert it, I have play before tightening the bolts so I center it, and tighten the bolts.
Initially I was experiencing a "bump" twisting left and twisting right was butter smooth. After many tries (I want to avoid tightening and loosening to reduce wear and tear) but now it is the opposite now. Twisting left is super smooth, and twisting right is bumpy. Is there a recommendation on how this should be done?

Re: Twist adapter hypersensitive + centering
Play in the grip before tightening the locking bolt is normal, as MCG/MCG Pro have a large hole in the bottom in order to adjust an offset center mount (some people use it on the right side, others in front).
If your twist is not smooth and even it means the 2 cylinders gripping around the base metal shaft are not aligned and one is sticking out. Loosen the locking bolt and re-arrange the 2 cylinders so each cutout would face the base metal shaft inside the grip connector. After tightening the bolt check with your fingers on the both sides of the hole where the cylinders got in - both cylinders are supposed to be completely buried inside the hole; if they're sticking out it means they're in a wrong position and would probably cause damage if not fixed soon.

Re: Twist adapter hypersensitive + centering
Wow! Thank you so much.
Indeed, one of the nuts for the locking mechanism was slightly out. I now loosened it, and put my finger on one side to keep it inside while tightening the screw on the other washer. They are now fully buried like you mentioned. It is now good
both twist is super smooth.
PS: Changed the cam to the avia-H (gives me a center detent), whereas the Avia-S had no center feel. Guessing the S would be ideal for chopper flying. Also changed the springs from the default 20's to 30's, but I think I may need to go 40. Still a bit soft, but will enjoy for now.
I now ordered the VKB rudder set
Thank you very much.

Re: Twist adapter hypersensitive + centering
Glad you've fix it Ozz! I would suggest to not give up completely on Avia-S cams, just remember that the center detent and axes detent is more pregnant when you install stronger springs. Also the springs could be installed 2 per cam; installing the stronger spring in the back and the softer spring on the outside could help in fine adjusting the resistance. Just don't forget to put the sleeves on springs and install them back to back to avoid damage.
I'm sure you'll like the rudders, they're so precise within such a small footprint. Also, comparing with other rudder sets on the market they don't put so much strain on your legs when flying. And adding toe brakes through software is really easy, a press of a button or a squeeze of the brake lever away

Re: Twist adapter hypersensitive + centering
Thank you! How does the virtual toe brake work? I am understanding this rudder as if i press the right pedal, the left goes up, and if I presss on the left pedal, the right pedal goes up.
Is it similar to a modifier key and you get a new axis? With that, can you just press either left or right to brake? What if you need to brake and use rudder at the same time?

Here's a topic with quite a few resolves for using the toe brakes: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=4095&p=39015&hilit=toe+brakes#p39015
