T-rudder and Gladiator not working on Mac OS 10.15-4

I have just received my new Gladiator and T-rudder IV from X-plane store. The Gladiator was a snap...I plugged it in and it worked and was easy to configure. I added the T-rudder using the provided cable and the gladiator still works but no joy from the T-rudder. It appears that the computer doesn't see it as part of the gladiator config. I can't find any other place to config the T-rudder. Likely something I am doing but still no joy and I need a helping hand. Thanks.
