Hi Simba,

More info is needed in order to get help. Like what are the old grips, what are the new grips, which firmware you're trying to flash, which software version you're using, what exactly does not work.
I think it would be helpful to post some screenshots showing the error. Also check this video: https://youtu.be/8Ht8yMsdlCQ and try to follow the steps; just be careful that there are 2 firmware versions for each stick - one unlabeled for the orange Black Box and the other one marked MK2 for the new black Black Boxes.

From your second picture I'd say the grip is not properly seated on the base, try to re-seat it; eventually clean up the 3 contact pads on the base shaft with a bit of cotton and alcohol and verify the pins on the bottom of the grip. If everything is ready for flashing the bootloader dialog box (the one in the second picture should display a message that the device is connected and there should be a green light there.
Don't forget to disconnect the USB cable from the Black Box when swapping grips.

Sorry, I'm missing something here. Could you please be more specific:
1. What grips do you have? Which ones are the original (working) and which the new ones (not working)?
2. What bases (MKI, MKII, MKIII) do you have and how many?;
3. What black boxes (orange or black) do you have and how many?
4. Please describe the combination of black box + grip + base working and the same combo for the non-working variant.

Try to disconnect all the devices from USB and leave only the one you want to flash.

Close VKBDevCfg and look for the file called zconfig.ini, will be in the same folder with VKBDevCfg. Open it up and add these 2 lines: Test Misc Enabled=1 under [Common] section and User=Developer under [User] section. Save, restart VKBDevCfg and try again.

Other options to try:
- change USB cable and data cable (Black Box to base);
- boot Windows in safe mode and try again;
- change USB port, connect directly to the computer;
- try on another computer.
