Re: Some MkI to MkIII issues
Yeah it just looks like something that got missed in the design/testing phase. The cutout shape on the top plate is clearly wrong at least for the original GF MkI. Maybe it works for MkII update, I don't know? As far as I know the only diff with the gimbals past MkI was the location of the damper adjusting nuts facing up rather than down. Like I said it's not a deal breaker as the old one works fine. Would have really sucked if it didn't! But yeah if it wasn't needed it could have shaved off some of the cost by a few bucks. The bottom cover is only slightly different with a hole near the top to accommodate the green LED and the little PCB it's attached to.

VKB, I am bumping this thread as I am not sure you all are aware of the new top plate problem. Maybe giving us a flat screw instead of the rounded one would be enough, not sure.

Re: Some MkI to MkIII issues
I did the upgrade for two of my GF MK1s and ran into this issue.
I ended up just not installing the screw that bumps into the top plate.
The PCB seems secure enough with the single screw and there isn't really anything to cause the PCB to move.
